Lake Herman Lift Station
In 2004, CDI provided the planning and design for a new pressure and gravity sewer system at Lake Herman State Park. This project was unique in that the entire site was a very culturally sensitive area with known artifacts throughout the park. Archeological exploration was performed prior to final design and location of the sewer system features. An archaeologist was on site at all times to ensure that sensitive items were protected.
This project also required special consideration due to the existence of the Lake Herman Sanitary District. Special meetings and hearings were necessary for the preliminary stages to satisfy all environmental concerns.
As a part of this project, CDI designed a two cell lagoon, trailer dump stations and all hookups for any sanitary sewer. When completed, this system handled all the sanitary sewer waste in the park as a central system. CDI was also involved in the trouble shooting and eventual replacement of some water lines to improve pressure in the park. CDI performed all preliminary surveys, planning, design, and construction staking.
