Drainage Ditch Rehabilitation
Civil Design was commissioned by Kingsbury County to rehabilitate approximately 9.7 miles of drainage ditch southeast of Whitewood Lake. CDI performed a topographic survey of Drainage Ditch No. 4 in the spring of 2016. Notable branches were surveyed for approximately 300 feet. Objects, such as trees, utility poles, fences, asphalt, culverts, and bridges were added to the drawing. Following the topographic survey a centerline alignment of the main channel was developed. A report previously prepared by The Missouri Valley Engineering Company in 1910 was used for comparison and redevelopment of the alignment profile. Finally all 13 drainage structures were inspected for general structural condition.
The project deliverables will consist of providing plan and profile sheets, cross-sections, and typical details for rehabilitation of the drainage ditch.
